Description

Been quite a while since I drew him. Since then I had been pondering some alterations for his design. These are relatively minimal, but they are noteworthy changes. (Drawn with this background music.)

UPDATE: A little cleaning. Also maybe color. Astraea's got dark magic in tow.

One happens to be the shaping of his face. I actually toyed with simpler rounded shapes at the start of this procedure, and with small touches it led to a smoother appearance near the front of the face. That said, his hair is a slight bit wilder, especially at the back, which seemed lacking when compared to his partners. And yes, his nose is rather different too, more akin to the style most actual rabbits appear to have. Finally, I tweaked his ears -- while it was never the conscious intention to make them look almost like bull horns, I ended up accentuating the look anyway, but attempted to make them shorter in the process.

Most everything else is relatively the same. What would make this art significant would be that it's the first proper art I've made where he hold the crystal sword Astraea (not counting parody) -- other pieces of art were made by NS-Games with the sword in tow, but I finally managed to do so myself, here with the blade imbued with some form of magic (either fire or a non-elemental dark magic). He's also holding his book on dimensional magic, an art which he has slowly been refining starting with his expertise in space rifts.

Naturally, since Malcolm has undergone this alteration in look, his family and fellow rabbits are likely to undergo similar changes. That will occur as I continue to experiment.

You know, with the color, I've just gotta say that I like how his eye turned out here. It looks a lot less "angry" if that make any sense.
