This takes the HexPaw and sets it within a hive of other hexagons, all embedded into one unit. It's meant to represent a group, so I'm hoping it shows through this concept.

I think the hive of hexagons works well to represent a group element. But in terms of using the two tones here, I think that would also call for a two toned word mark, which I've already actually started to toy around with a bit.
My only concern here though would be that when all is said and done, the hive doesn't exactly end up being hexagons. I'm almost thinking this should be tried without the white boarder inside the black boarder. Although, that maybe a bit of nitpickyness on my end. I feel like I need a fresh set of eyes to really get a good idea of that.
