So today was a notable update on Smash Dojo. For a while the promise seemed sketchy, but they have officially made the notice that WFC can be used for online fights. A cheer from many, and a sigh from me. At least now I'm not in a constant state of uncertainty. Although they leave you wondering what services will make use of Wi-Fi. What they mean by Wi-Fi is uncertain; whether they refer to WFC or WiiConnect 24, or both, isn't elaborated upon. Either way, this would likely be the first Wii WFC game I will own.

What stuff would I imagine possible with more integrated Wi-Fi usage? Well, what with those stickers and trophies (maybe), perhaps you can trade them with friends, unlike in Melee. Also, an Event Mode with new downloadable events every once in a while could be cool. Downloadable stages and characters would be interesting too, but I somehow find this not very likely.

They mention that battles with friends will enable small messages to be displayed while you taunt, depending on the button you press on your control pad. I ponder now the messages I would use...

Anyway, I also noticed Miis are being integrated. It's just, interestingly, it's only currently revealed as a bit part as an avatar, much like MP3C. I'm sure they could do more, such as a special Wii-themed arena where Mii's (preferrably ones made on your system) are in the stands cheering or something. Or better yet, somehow making Mii's playable. Every Mii would have the same moveset despite different faces, but it allows for a more personalized touch. I want to get Geaorge Foreman in there and whip the snot out of Diddy Kong. Or perhaps Iwata beating up Snake.

Anyway, it appears as though much of the interface in the main game hasn't changed much since "How to Play," showing character pictures and names. The only difference is the new Mario universe icon. I noticed this icon and the Pokemon universe icon had changed on the web, so there has been some active development (the How yo Play" entry still shows the old icons for Mario and Pokemon!). The Donkey Kong icon changed too, but not on the web but before his official appearance. I wonder who else has changed.

I await more interesting characters to be added to the roster. What characters do I want to see? Well...

King DeDeDe (it would truly complete the Kirby set, and he carries a mallet!)
Marth/Roy, or at the very least someone with the same moveset.
Krystal (one of the few Starfox characters that could get away with NOT being a clone.)
Mega Man (find a way for this to work, without acting like Kirby.)
Sonic (We still await this possibility's fruition)
Mii (See above)

So hurrah. I just want more updates that feel very meaningful. :3
