Description
Some more retro love.
I was very much surprised that during a search on deviantART for "Solvalou," almost everything that came up was a Ridge Racer car with the same name. The only result that had anywhere close to what I was searching for was something made by ME: the Digging Strike version of the Solvalou piloted by Susumu, as a W.I.P. picture. Shameful.
So I brought it upon myself to set the record straight and present the TRUE Solvalou fighter, though drawn in the "bih" sketchy style I've used for a while. It's as though even back then the developers made a solid design for the Solvalou. Little has changed since 25 years ago.
Show respect! Xevious is the first vertical scrolling shmup that doesn't take place in generic space, not to mention the first with enemies on air and land. And of course, there's the Andor Genesis, one of the first video game bosses, which is also a sight to behold. Sure, it seems relatively slow nowadays, but try to last through a full cycle of the game. I DARE YOU.
When "Blast Works" comes out in May, I'm-a try to recreate this as a playable ship. X3

Awesome job, Xevious is always one of my favorite video games.
We NEED another Xevious now. Shame on you, Namco! XD
