Loafing Around

For those not in the know, "Pepperloaf" originated in the DIY game "Spellcaster," where Pepper played a wizard and had to use magic to power up Sir Ataru. A gauge showed how much magic power you charged, and hitting the target area produced the optimum results.

But there were a number of ways to fail, and "Pepperloaf" would come about if you cast a spell before the gauge even started filling up; his wand would "short out," and cast a rather inconvenient curse on Pepper, changing him into a loaf of bread.

As for "Oliveloaf," she was made for kicks. I liked the concept of Pepperloaf so much that I wanted to see how Olive would look in the same way. Naturally I made sure her curly 'do would resemble a cinnamon roll in this phase, though it's not so easy with pixels and a limited color palette.
